What’s in a name? ACME is a Greek word, which means: the pinnacle, the summit, the best, the climax. Acme Lock Inc. has taken pride in providing over 79 years of outstanding lock and safe service to the Greater Cincinnati area. In addition to the local customers in Indiana, Northern Kentucky and Southwest Ohio areas, Acme Lock has been hired to do work in foreign countries like St. Petersburg Moscow and Antigua. Recently, Acme Lock has expanded service into numerous cities and states throughout the United States. Acme Lock is a family owned, small business that began in 1933. Steve & Laura Woods are the current owners. Steve is a third generation locksmith. When Steve’s grandmother, Florence married her husband, Herman Rief they owned & worked at Acme Lock for numerous years until the late 1970’s. Chuck & Beverly Woods, Steve’s parents took over Acme Lock at that point.
