As a child growing up, I was always drawn to the warmth and the ambiance of the kitchen in our home. It was fun to see the love and the joy that was generated by a family gathering in that one special room. As I grew, the thought of working on the construction of homes started to interest me and by the time I had graduated from high school, I had entered that industry under the guidance of my high school architectural drawing instructor who was a licensed general contractor as well. As time flew by, I still maintained an interest in the industry when I was asked to join a kitchen and bath firm in 1971 known as Craftsman Cabinets. It was here that I was able to learn about the fundamentals of the kitchen and design principles.
