After earning Bachelors and Masters degrees in History at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, John L. Pinnix attained his law degree (JD) from the Wake Forest University School of Law. Known as "Jack", Pinnix served as national President of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Additionally, he is a founding member, and a two term Chair, of the Carolinas Chapter of AILA.
