The drivers examined can be either interstate or intrastate. We examine drivers from all 50 states. If a driver is found to be in good health, with no other physical issues affecting his or her ability to drive safely; a medical certificate may be issued for two years. Drivers with certain health conditions are often limited to one year of certification.
